Dextranase (α-1,6-glucan 6-glucanohydrolase) (CAS No: 9025-70-1) is an enzyme that specifically hydrolyzes alpha-glucan linkages.
Dextranase (α-1,6-glucan 6-glucanohydrolase) (CAS No: 9025-70-1) is an enzyme that specifically hydrolyzes alpha-glucan linkages.
Application & Features: Dextranase is widely used in sugar processing to reduce juice viscosity caused by Leuconostoc contamination, and in oral care (toothpaste/mouthwash) to dissolve dental plaque. It is highly efficient at low dosages, biodegradable, and effective under specific industrial pH/temperature ranges. It improves sugar crystallization yield and prevents equipment fouling by breaking down sticky dextran polymers.
